My parents don't really mind, my mom herself enjoys her share of pop music (she loves Rihanna) and my dad likes Gaga (mostly because of her duets with Tony Bennett).

I don't see why this matters. Why does their music have to be gay? Pop music is easily the most popular music in the world. Straight people like it too or sales wouldn't be as high as they are.

I live in a non-judgmental family and my dad, brothers, cousins, uncles, and I all listen to all types of music including pop. We are all straight too. (As far as I know)

The only time we label a song "gay to listen to" is when it has lyrics that are kind of gay if you listen to it.

Yes!! My Mom tries to accuse lots of artist I listen to, of being in the Illuminati, Beyonce being one of the main ones. I don't even stan for Bey, but it gets annoying when she says that stuff so I'll tell her that she's pressed and bitter over Bey and then we get into a small argument. It's just she doesn't know what she's talking about, just because you watch YT videos doesn't mean you know everything about that lifestyle or whatever and it shouldn't matter!

My parents (my mom especially) share a lot of my taste in music, including No Doubt, Offspring, Jack Johnson, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sublime, Alicia Keys, John Legend, Bob Marley, Bush and Fiona Apple And they definitely don't mind how utterly obsessed I am with ND.

In terms of pop girls, back in 2008-10 my mom stanned SO hard for Gaga, though she mostly jumped ship with BTW I'm sure she'll be back for ARTPOP, lately she's been asking where Gaga has been. I remember you always knew when my mom was coming home because you'd hear Starstruck coming down the street as loud as possible.
