Thank God she didn't release it at the Super Bowl. That's a terrible strategy.
You should use that promotion to remind people of why they should continue to buy your product, not just expect them to buy something they never heard before.
A month ago the Hive was sure Beyonce would be releasing new music before the Superbowl, tweets from her dancers and some producers seemed to confirm this. We were also promised that the Pepsi ad with Beyonce that would air during the Superbowl would feature her lead single.
The Superbowl performance has passed, the Pepsi ads have passed and so far no lead single.
Most alarmingly, there has not even been an official ANNOUNCEMENT of a new single or album. She has several major performances and TV specials scheduled in the next few months, but at no point has her, her label, or her team officially announced any new Beyonce music hitting the market.
And now she has announced a tour for Mid April....that's in nearly two months. An era, even for a superstar artist like Beyonce, usually starts with the release of a lead single two months before the album. It seems unlikely she would rush release a single without any announcement (or even an announcement of an announcement) and then quickly put out an album, especially coming off the 4 era which failed to produce a single hit and greatly diminished her status.
Is it possible that her single and album were never happening at all or have been cancelled, and that all this promo is simply advertisement for a stand-alone tour?
Hon, it got Give Me All Your Luvin' to the top 10, it damn well pulled off a miracle.
Honestly it messed it up. The Super Bowl extravaganza took the attention away from the single too quickly, which is sad because Give me All Your Luvin' is a really good record.

There are other Madonna songs to stan for. This is not one of them.
Yes, Beyonce is retiring. All copies of her previous albums, physical and digital, will be sought out and destroyed to erase all record of her from this earth.
Obviously not. The more I think about it, the more I feel like a Kanye-esque stunt will be pulled around the Grammys. I think that maximizes the publicity for Bey? IDK, but we'll def get a single from her soon. Hopefully this month.
