No.
Just because they make pure pop/dance doesn't mean they are for kids.

I'd say it's more 13-16.
Definitely not over the age of 18 unless it's in an ironic sense.

Doesn't matter 1,2 or 5 months, 400K is far far away though. ![:)](http://www.atrl.net/forums/images/smilies/images/smilies/smile.gif)

I'm saying I was a big fan during TF+ TFM era. The BTW reference is saying what she's become.... a kid's artist.

Lyrics like this make me feel like Ke$has music is definitely geared towards a younger audience, but Katy seems to be maturing.

Absolutely not, the WA video = fairytale, because it is the end of the era, the last chapter, the end of her "Teenage Dream", you tried though.
And yes sure, I guess that the 6 million people that bought TD = 6 million kids...

Hmm... probably you'd be half-right if you didn't listen to the rest of the album, which talked about oral sex, being a hooker to the government, smelling whiskey breath, so and so forth.

If Katy appeals to just twelve-year-old children, then why did all of her singles (sans ET, LFN, and PoM) go top 10 on adult contemporary radio

This.
But Katy also branches out to an older, adult audience, like Pink.

The fact that you think a "fairytale" is a logical end to the era wins the argument for me.
I'm 23, I don't need no pop star to tell me fairytales, less so, ones that have such a simple, plain and flat storyline.

Katy Perry's target group is - to a large extent- the 12 year olds..
Too much candy and pink for adults.. And don't give me the "I'm not 12 and stan for her" excuse..

The Tanning Effect , The Wall Street Journal , Obama and Times disagree.. They always praised her for having the most varied demographic.. and her exclusive 18+ Seoul stadium concert is a seal to that.. ![Alexz](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ec20fb7f.gif)

They used a fairytale theme with the WA video because they can actually show the end of this fairytale, of the the chapter, considering the era will be over after that (they could not have do it with E.T.). And btw, I don't even see how the WA video shows that Katy = for kids, seriously that argue is just stupid.

Man, I've been a teenager too and that life doesn't relate to me at all, I drank and did drugs since 13, if a pop star made a video which would represent my life I'd pick 'We Found Love' even then I haven't tried MDMA like the video, but other comparable stuff even now, so I feel identified even at 23.
Katy Perry lives in a bubble I can't relate at all, that's it.
