On christmas morning which used to be like 5am but now I'm older I LOVE my sleep so its more like 10am and my mum always wakes up before everyone but doesn't wake us up. No she'll wake up go make a tea, read the news paper do her normal morning routine and then still wait for the first 2 people to wake up

This! We usually open one in the evening of Christmas Eve before church at midnight, then we open the rest on Christmas morning.

When my parents were young, both would open their gifts on December 6th though, since that's St. Nick's Feast Day.

But I voted the 25th because that was the day we opened them in my childhood so that's the day I associate with presents.

The concept of opening presents any day before the 25th is so weird to me. I could never do it, it ruins it, imo. I used to wake up on Christmas morning, get excited and open my presents first thing. I don't really care for it anymore, though. I don't do presents.
