AND SONGS 37 to 76!!
076. The Chemical Brothers - The Boxer
Very insane catchy beat mixed in the forumla that is The Chemical Brothers. I can't seem to put it down.
075. Röyksopp - 49 Percent
Thanks to randy, I got addicted to this song in all ways possible! Sadly it could not make my 49 percent but it definitely had to make the list!
074. Bassment Jaxx - Romeo
Honestly, I checked out this video because I just liked Mikal's avatar for this and then it just turned out that this song was worthy of checking out itself. Seriously, the things avatars can do.
073. Fischerspooner - Never Win
This song would have been higher if I had not *****d it out. Coming home while this is blasting your ears, so awesomeeee. Seriously, this is such an awesome song and from the trend I've been noticing with Fischerspooner, it makes sense why it's awesome. The beat not only goes with the vocals but it's damn addictive! darn you! I dont need to need you to tell me where to put this >:O
072. Hard-Fi - Cash Machine
Not only did Omega recommend this song but so did Ben and that meant it had to be good right there but only after playing it did I realize how it had some similar elements to Rock The Casbah and even without those elements, kicked major ass. Admittedly, I just heard the song so it's not too high but then again, 76 in less than a week, that should say a lot about this song.
071. Stellastarr* - Sweet Troubled Soul
One of the many songs to follow from subterranean and while this song kicks ass from the vocals, it's pretty upbeat and the beat is just so rhymthemic! if you open your mind, go and play this track!
070. Dave Matthews Band - American Baby
I don't think many people liked this song and while I can see how it wasn't as good as many other DMB songs are, this song is awesome by how soft it sounds with that plucking-ish sound and just the melody itself. Not to mention, strings are my weakness.
069. Nada Surf - Always Love
Now, the voice in this song in the starting is definitely soft and over the course of the song, it gets more insane which is just awesome since it still somehow remains soft. The video was pretty awesome too and yes, it's another subterranean song while also being a song that was performed in the almost acoustic christmas! that definitely had me like it even more ^_^ Always love… Hate will get you every time.
068. Social Distortion - Highway 101
Take a drive baby up the coast, yea highway 101!
067. Oasis - Lyla
Oasis kicks major ass. this single has been one of those songs you have in your mind yet isn't because it's annoyingly catchy but deserves to be there!
066. Transplants - Gangsters and Thugs
this song has such an insane groove to it. yes, i said groove. it's like so smooth yet you can still have fun with it just because it's like they have their own genre of rock and rap. I do like how awesome this single is just because it is.
065. The Black Keys - 10 A.M. Automatic
Another song from subterranean that otherwise I would have not know and it's just awesome. so reminds me of 70s rock which automatically makes it something you have to listen to. I said 80s before mostly because i was out of it but then realized yeahhh it's not like the other 80s stuff so it cant be 80s! this is what i get for rushing to post before 12
064. Rilo Kiley - Portions For Foxes
the lyrics to this song are just as awesome as ther vocals! this is anything but bad news.
063. Mike Doughty - Looking At The World From The Bottom Of A Well
this song seems so different yet has this familiar tune in for the line "lonely and the only way to beat it is to bat is down." I feel as if I am looking at the world from the bottom of a well while listening to this song, ha ha ha
062. World Leader Pretend - Bang Theory
awesome song. awesome video. video makes song even more awesome. that's all i'll say for this song.
061. The Strokes - Juicebox
like most strokes songs, this one took a while to grow on me too compared to other people but like most strokes songs, awesome-ness that of course has to be appreciated. addictive beat as well, which im sure you'd wonder why it took me so long if it was addictive... yeah i don't know why either so go eat bread.
060. Kraftwerk - The Telephone Call
another song where the video is just insane. at first the song reminds me of those insane 80s songs but with even more insane telephone dials and wrong number and what not.. but then it gets really good. seriously awesome song with awesome video that had starting somewhat need to grow on me. you're so close but far away.
059. The Darkness - One Way Ticket
another song that took a bit to grow on me but not too long since the darkness really can't be kept away from. they still have it going, awesomeness.
058. The Cloud Room - Hey Now Now
this song came out of no where. I just remember hearing it on subterranean and while being addicted to it myself, could imagine someone else being addicted as well and that certainly helped having me like it more. addicted, enjoyable and totally awesome.
057. 311 - Don't Tread On Me
awesome song from 311 that came out of no where as well even though mark had a thread about 311 like awhileee before I heard this song. I just randomly decided to download it from his thread and it reminded me of old 311 stuff with an insane twist that made it even more enjoyable!
056. Kasabian - Club Foot
while the rhythm of Lost Souls Forever was really addictive, this song was overall awesome. first song that introduced me to Kasabian and while the starting isn't too much like the actual song, i like how it leads into the song and then it's just kickass-ness all along.
055. Metric - Monster Hospital
awesomeness introduced by mister TC and while at first I was hesitant, this definitely grew on me after i gave it more than one listen and it even made me go and listen to the album. I fought the war but the war won!
054. Spoon - I Turn My Camera On
this reminds me so much of the scissor sisters but much more awesome. that's really all that needs to be said.
053. Le Tigre - After Dark
After thinking TKO was awesomeeeeee, I was surprised they had another single that I was already addicted to from hearing their album. After Dark
052. Incubus - Make A Move
while this song was awesome, sucks how it somewhat died in a month if not less. it had me looking forward to the soundtrack for that time but it honestly isn't as good as other incubus songs and on single basis, of course got beat by many other songs that were much more memorable.
051. The Offspring - Can't Repeat
lyrics, awesome. offspring, awesome. could this song get any better for the single of their GH album? yes, but lets not go there because it still was majorly awesome and made it in the top 50!
050. Thrice - Image Of The Invisible
honestly, I just heard this song on Almost-Acoustic Christmas and i could not resist. I loveddd the single silhouette and when I heard they were performing on AAC, it made me look forward to the performance and I have to say, they did not let me down. it's quite possibly why this song is so high in such a small amount of time.
049. System Of A Down - B.Y.O.B.
I'm sure my friend dena will kill me for having this oh so low but at least it made it to almost half of my list! system of a down are not only political but also awesome with their insane moods for songs and other tha nthe insanely awesome chorus, i loved the video.
048. A Perfect Circle - Passive
while it's true my friend amanda was a huge fan of APC, i actually got into this song after getting the albums for her and checking it out and then realizing wayyy later that it was a single. Passive is awesome and while they have better songs on the album, APC definitely kick ass.
047. Queens Of The Stone Age - Little Sister
awesome song with a bit crazy lyrics. i do not have to say anything more because queens of the stone age kicks ass.
046. The Dead 60s - Riot Radio
honestly, dead 60s songs sound a lot like when they perform but in general, this song kicks major ass.
045. The Arcade Fire - Neighborhood #3 (Power Out)
one of the many singles (not on this list) that just make the album very nice. it's so much of it's own style, i love it!
044. Motley Crue - If I Die Tomorrow
another song that took awhile to grow on me but definitely grew with the help of the album and just being familiar with everything that is motley crue. this was seems a bit different from the rest of the songs by motley crue for the GH album, which it took me awhile to realize was a GH.. silly me, but definitely had the good sound that is motley according to that album, haha.
043. The Decemberists - 16 Military Wives
anddd another song that took awhile to grow on me. I think the video was what helped me really like it. just like the song, the video was majorly insane and yes, awesome.
042. The Bravery - Honest Mistake
oh, the bravery. the braveryyyy. i'm so glad i got introduced to them because they are definitely awesome. this song it self is kickass and so darn catchy!
041. Green Day - Holiday
Green day is one of my favorite artists yet this year has been insane for them. Holiday not only made most sense video wise, it had a similar concept to BOBD which was one of my favorite songs. So while the video dealio made it so WTF for Wake Me Up When September Ends, it made me like this song even more and that's why it's on this list.
040. The White Stripes - Blue Orchid
not only is this video awesome, the song is awesome. white stripes, that's all you need to know.
039. Kelly Clarkson - Behind These Hazel Eyes
Kelly Clarkson had a great year this year, if you can't tell by her number of singles. This was one of her singles that had an awesome run and one of her best, even if it was *****d by radio.
038. Audioslave - Doesn't Remind Me
Took awhile to grow but dear lord, rose high fast. Audioslave does that well.
037. Sheryl Crow - Good Is Good
After Jason had me download it and after I heard it as a live performance, this song was really appreciated. It's so soft and just slow awesome-ness and sheryl crow in general kicks ass.

12. Morningwood - Morningwood
I am so glad I decided to check this album out after liking Nth Degree and Jetsetter. At first I was resisting a bit from Jetsetter's video for some reason but then I got over it and when really loving Nth Degree and seeing how someone else may like to check out their album as well, I decided not to be lazy and actually check it out myself (as well as help the person out). It's an awesome album and while there are a few crazy songs, okay, all of them are crazy, it's catchy crazy that you can sing along to rather than be confused! I'm sure that's the opposite of you reading this.
25% Hues of Red and Yellow: Babysitter. New York Girls. Nü Rock.
![](http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B0009WJ3HU.01.THUMBZZZ.jpg)
11. Jason Mraz - Mr. A - Z
I was a fan of Jason Mraz ever since he came out and really started liking his songs after You and I (both song and video) so hearing he had a new album out and being addicted to Wordplay definitely convinced me that this album would be sweet. It's so relaxing and with some tracks, crazy with his style of singing. Randy was the one who got me to not be lazy (yes, I'm always lazy, go pan yourself) and I'm really thankful for that since otherwise I would have not got to heard this album or it'd be too late. Jason Mraz just continues to kickass and reading his journal really helped me like him as a person even more so maybe that's also a reason why this album is so high.
25% Hues of Red and Yellow: Bella Luna. Clockwatching. O Lover.
![](http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B000B0WODA.01.THUMBZZZ.jpg)
10. Franz Ferdinand - You Could Have It So Much Better With Franz Ferdinand
Franz Ferdinand were one of those artists that kicked so much ass at first that I thought would somehow die away before releasing their second album or just not be that great while they just proved me wrong. Honestly was not expecting to enjoy the album as much as I did and while I admit it took me awhile to have it start growing on me, it was only because I kept underestimating it or thinking it'd be nothing special. I was definitely wrong since every single track on the album has it's own style that you can either rock out to or just go crazy to if you're really insane like me. It's definitely not just a repeat of Do You Want To? for the rest of the 12 out of 13 tracks.
25% Hues of Red and Yellow: Fade Together. Evil And A Heathen. You're The Reason I'm Leaving.
![](http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B00082IJ08.01.THUMBZZZ.jpg)
09. The Gorillaz - Demon Days
I, admittedly, was not a huge Gorillaz fan before this album. I thought their previous singles were really catchy and not like those everyday tracks that are only catchy because they were *****d out like hell but never went out of my way to hear them. I actually used to hate how I could rarely hear them, and that's why it took me so long to realize it was them seeing whenever the video was on, i'd immediately start enjoying the song and forget to pay attention to the five second title display that would reveal the artist and song name. Anyway, this album exceeded my hopes and I am not at all surprised. I am surprised that I could choose select tracks since I enjoy every single of them, even Intro!
25% Hues of Red and Yellow: All Alone. Kids With Guns. O Green World. White Light.
![](http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B000850JP8.01.THUMBZZZ.jpg)
08. Weezer - Make Believe
I am sooo glad Ben kept trying to get people to check out the songs and album and just everything weezer. Seriously, I need to stop being lazy but thankfully there are people that help me realize the good stuff, how corny is that, and Weezer's album is one of the best albums out there. Of course Beverly Hills definitely isn't like the rest of the album but being a fan of most works of Weezer, it only makes sense I would enkoy this too. Not to mention, they are awesome performers and that only makes me enjoy the songs even more! I am, however, somewhat upset they altered We Are All On Drugs for the single but they make up for it so it's all GIMME GIMME!
25% Hues of Red and Yellow: Freak Me Out. The Other Way. This Is Such A Pity.
![](http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B0007SL1LW.01.THUMBZZZ.jpg)
07. Beck - Guero
Just like the Gorillaz, I was a fan of Beck but not in a huge way that I'd go out of my way to check out the stuff. Also, just like the Gorillaz, I did not know half the singles by Beck until way later so when actually knowing he'd be releasing an album and enjoying the first single, it's nice to finally get my hands on something by Beck that isn't years after the release. This album is seriously such a mix, I love it! Half of the album is somewhat more insane than the other half which is nice and slow. Beck not only finds the perfect melody with his voice and music, each single has it's own catchy-ness that you can just sit down and rleax to. Hell, some songs you can even rock out to at the same time. No clue how the man does it but let's not question him. I'd say the singles have been good choices and so it's pretty hard to choose songs that aren't singles but I'll attempt anyways.
25% Hues of Red and Yellow: Chain Reaction. Go It Alone. Missing. Qué Onda Guero.
![](http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B0006L16N8.01.THUMBZZZ.jpg)
06. Coldplay - X & Y
Coldplay, no idea how they can have such smooth songs that just kick so much ass. I really enjoyed this album and while normally smooth songs require a certain mood, I could listen to this album at any moment. It's seriously good stuff you have to check out. Although, sadly, almost every song that is similar to The Scientist, I remember Mad TV's skit which is not only amusing, it made me like Coldplay even more so I have no idea how that works but that's a little random fact for you. Anyway, really glad Coldplay released another album and while I am glad they agreed to make one of my favorite songs, Talk, a single, sucks that I can't list it now because it's already a single to be.
25% Hues of Red and Yellow: Square One. Swallowed In The Sea. X & Y.
Yes, my purpose is to confuse you in one way or another.

And then Sheryl, Audio, Kelly, Bravery, Arcade Fire, System, Dead 60's, Thrice, 311, Strokes, Oasis, and Stellastarr* on tunes?
Wow. Good.

AND IT IS SONGS 26 to 36!!
![](http://www.mtv.com/shared/media/images/artist/r/rev_run/az_official/376x180.jpg)
036. Rev Run - Mind On The Road
It reminds me of Beastie Boys for some reason. [b]That explains why it's so high, yet because it took awhile to grow on me, not as high as it could be. [b]Good stuff.
![](http://www.mtv.com/shared/media/images/artist/s/stereophonics/az_official/376x180.jpg)
035. Stereophonics - Dakota
This song took me awhile to grow into it but the performance by the Stereophonics definitely helped. [b]It's relaxing yet has beats you could enjoy rather than just sway to until the chorus when it gets a bit insane. [b]I'm so going to get repetative now but I feel like the one, the one!!
![](http://www.mtv.com/shared/media/images/artist/f/fray_the/az_official/376x180.jpg)
034. The Fray - Over My Head (Cable Car)
I honestly have no idea how I heard this song but it seems many people knew about it way sooner than I did. [b]I really have nothing to say about this other than how good it is to hear the song almost at any moment. [b]It was my favorite right from when I first heard it and yeah, it's nothing too special but I like how it doesn't try too hard to be something special.
![](http://www.mtv.com/shared/media/images/artist/v/vhs_or_beta/az_official/376x180.jpg)
033. VHS Or Beta - Night On Fire
This song sounds so flirty crazy and that makes no sense but the first set of beats are are as if they try to go crazy but are too shy or something. [b]I probably am high writing this so if i don't make sense, don't worry. [b]I heard this on Sub as well and on the first play it was something I really liked. [b]Of course, I *****d it out but that only explains why it's not higher.
![](http://www.mtv.com/shared/media/images/artist/c/citizen_cope/az_official/376x180.jpg)
032. Citizen Cope - Son's Gonna Rise
I was really a fan of Citizen Cope's previous single "Bullet and a Target" so when I heard they were having another single, I immediately checked out the song and loved it. [b]It's one of those songs that I can ***** if I really wanted to yet know it rocks too much to ***** out, lol. [b]Seriously, ever since the release of this song I have enjoyed it and probably will continue to. [b]Now if only I wasn't lazy, I'd check out the album too. [b]I mean, when it first came out, I even tried recommending it to everyone, that's how awesome this song is! haha
![](http://www.mtv.com/shared/media/images/artist/o/of_montreal/az_official/376x180.jpg)
031. Of Montreal - Wraith Pinned To The Mist and Other Games
Another song from Sub and wow, the video is just crazy. [b]I want to say the video is what helped me really fall for this song. [b]It's so insane since it's like making violence a little kid's thing, lol, even though it's not really violence. [b]Also, the mood of the video just goes so well with the song and how the vocals work. [b]I really like the simplicity of the song and yeah, if I was a kid, I'd so clap to this video since I already sing along like I'm insane. [b]LETS HAVE BIZZARE CELEBRATIONS!
![](http://www.mtv.com/shared/media/images/artist/i/interpol/az_official/376x180.jpg)
030. Interpol - Evil
Another song where the song is not only awesome but the video is too! I loved the puppet character in this video and definitely helped me like the song even more than I did. [b]The mood of the song is so awesome, you can sing along, sway along, rock out or just enjoy it like some 90s pop song. [b]It's so hard to describe but the vocals are sweeet with the music and overall it's one of those songs you want to get stuck in your mind. [b]This song makes me feel good when I actually enjoy it rather than pass it off.
![](http://www.mtv.com/shared/media/images/artist/d/dandy_warhols/az_official/376x180.jpg)
029. Dandy Warhols - All The Money Or The Simple Life Honey
Dandy Warhols still kick major ass. [b]At first I was wondering if they just got confused with Smoke It but eventually I started to love that song too and when they released this song, it was major awesome-ness since I already liked this song from their latest album. [b]It's so smooth and Courtney's voice is just awesome. [b]It's like country with edge and sweet music, haha. [b]Actually, the starting reminds me of some other song but I'm not so sure which song. [b]Either way, awesome stuff that should be checked out.
![](http://www.mtv.com/shared/media/images/artist/i/imbruglia_natalie/az_official/376x180.jpg)
028. Natalie Imbruglia - Shiver
A visit to 90's pop! I was definitely glad to hear this single when it came out. [b]I love the lyrics and Natalie has such nice voice that isn't trying to be anything but a wonderful way to go with a melody and convey great lyrics. [b]Seriously reminds me of 90's pop which I was a huge fan of so no wonder I really like this song too.
![](http://www.mtv.com/shared/media/images/artist/j/johnson_jack/az_official/376x180.jpg)
027. Jack Johnson - Sitting, Waiting, Wishing
Slow music with a catchy rhythm? Count me in! Jack Johnson, so far, has been coming out with really nice singles and her performance on the almost-acoustic christmas was really nice except out of place a bit since I was used to artists that really can't be compared to Jack Johnson. [b]I mean, if there was Jason Mraz and John Mayer, maybe they could be compared, but those two weren't at the AAC so with the other artists, Jack seemed a bit out of place but I love how soothing music that just relaxes me as I move side to side.
more to come in a few hours!!

It's so hard to describe but the vocals are sweeet with the music and overall it's one of those songs you want to get stuck in your mind. This song makes me feel good when I actually enjoy it rather than pass it off.

029. Dandy Warhols - All The Money Or The Simple Life Honey
Dandy Warhols still kick major ass. At first I was wondering if they just got confused with Smoke It but eventually I started to love that song too and when they released this song, it was major awesome-ness since I already liked this song from their latest album. It's so smooth and Courtney's voice is just awesome. It's like country with edge and sweet music, haha. Actually, the starting reminds me of some other song but I'm not so sure which song. Either way, awesome stuff that should be checked out.

028. Natalie Imbruglia - Shiver
A visit to 90's pop! I was definitely glad to hear this single when it came out. I love the lyrics and Natalie has such nice voice that isn't trying to be anything but a wonderful way to go with a melody and convey great lyrics. Seriously reminds me of 90's pop which I was a huge fan of so no wonder I really like this song too.

I mean, if there was Jason Mraz and John Mayer, maybe they could be compared, but those two weren't at the AAC so with the other artists, Jack seemed a bit out of place but I love how soothing music that just relaxes me as I move side to side.
more to come in a few hours!

AND THE SONGS LIST CONTINUES WITH SONGS 17 to 24!!!!11
![](http://www.mtv.com/shared/media/images/artist/s/supergrass/az_official/376x180.jpg)
026. Supergrass - Kiss Of Life
I really love the starting to this song and then how it leads in. What actually pulled me in was the lyrics and how they were sing, rhythm wise. The chorus is quite catchy too! This song is like a heart-attack!
![](http://www.mtv.com/shared/media/images/artist/l/lcd_soundsystem/az_official/376x180.jpg)
025. LCD Soundsystem - Tribulations
Being a fan of Daft Punk Is Playing At My House, I was expecting another awesome song for their following single and while this song is as awesome, it's not exactly the same as DPIPAMH since it's catchy in a different way. Hard to describe but really love the background beat and vocals.
![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v410/prakesha/sad.jpg)
024. Sons and Daughters - Dance Me In
It's another song that drew me in right from the start! I first heard this also on Sub (boy, is that getting repetative) and even the video was pretty awesome. Overall, not much to say about this song because it's another song that's kicks major ass while not trying to have anything insane, other than the music which is just great to sing along with!
![](http://www.mtv.com/shared/media/images/artist/m/morningwood/az_official/376x180.jpg)
023. Morningwood - Nth Degree
Much like Morningwood's album, this song was something stuck in my head that made no sense. At first I thought it was about love to the nth degree but after a few plays, it had me lose the only sane way to describe the song. I guess all I can say is the beat is catchy the lyrics are insanely addictive and the vocals are awesome!
![](http://www.mtv.com/shared/media/images/artist/m/mraz_jason/az_official/376x180.jpg)
022. Jason Mraz - Geek In Pink
Jason Mraz makes an appearance on the songs list as well! Not only is this song insane lyrically, if you can't tell from the title, the music is as well and Mraz does a great job in this single as he did with Wordplay. I'm not saying it's an actual good "rap" attempt but just him trying to have disc scratching in the starting and just overall seeming so into the song makes me want to join in. This song makes me want to have fun and I enjoy that feeling whenever I can get it. DO DO DO, DO DO DOo0o0ODODODOODO!
![](http://www.mtv.com/shared/media/images/artist/s/sum_41/az_official/376x180.jpg)
021. Sum 41 - Pieces
Sum 41 kicks ass and so did this song. An interesting fact, both the Sum 41's lead singer and his fiance, Avril Lavigne had a song on their album with the word Pieces in them in the year 2004, lol. Now actual talk about the song, the starting reminded me of Simple Plan from the lyrics (referring to "Perfect") but then the kickass-ness that is Sum 41 kicks in. The video was nice too.
![](http://www.mtv.com/shared/media/images/artist/d/dobson_fefe/az_official/376x180.jpg)
020. Fefe Dobson - Don't Let It Go To Your Head
While many hated this single or just her voice, I adored it and still do. Other than a personal connection with the song due to various reasons, including insanity and singing along to this every single day for awhile, I actually loved the lyrics and her voice. It was a nice change and was somewhat surprising to know it was Fefe after I heard it. I honestly don't see why it wasn't liked that much other than perhaps the video but many disliked the song even before the video came out. Well, then again, the album was supposed to come out in October, near my birthday, anyways so booo to that.
![](http://www.mtv.com/shared/media/images/artist/d/depeche_mode/az_official/376x180.jpg)
019. Depeche Mode - Precious
I am oh so glad Depeche Mode came back with not only a single holding on to what only depeche mode can do best, have an addictive beat that sounds so mysterious and cool lyrics recited in a very mesmerizing way, but an album that was just as sweet and a video for the single. Really, they haven't lost anything! I mean, even when they performed, I enjoyed it all except for when the lead singer took off his shirt. Yeah, maybe that's why you're not really in the top ten, DM medicine for coughs! Actually, not the reason at all since this song really did kick ass.
![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v410/prakesha/ebtg.jpg)
018. Everything But The Girl - Tempermental
I guess people would say it is like a techno song but I don't know. I actually don't think it's like one of those songs that just have the sameee beat with each song and the same vocals. I love the lyrics and I love the vocals and the beat is so damn addictive! If I'm not singing along, it's just enjoying the nice music.
![](http://www.mtv.com/shared/media/images/artist/l/lee_ben/az_official/376x180.jpg)
017. Ben Lee - Catch My Disease
Okay, this single has been incredible. After realizing how catchy it is, I realized I was a fan of the lyrics and voice too. It was what led me to download his other single, Begin and then his album and the single still kicks ass! If it wasn't for my whoring out, this would so be one of the top five best singles of the year. Damnit, whoring ruins it all. Pleaseeeeeeee, baby, pleasee, come onnnnnnnn, catch my disease!
we shall return with the next ten shades after a few hours!

SONGS 6 to 16!!!
![](http://www.mtv.com/shared/media/images/artist/u/u2/az_official/376x180.jpg)
016. U2 - Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own
- One of the best songs on the album so it was pretty nice to hear they released it as a single. I really like how it's so slow and the voice just sounds so.. perfect for the lyrics in the way the melody works.
![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v410/prakesha/kc.jpg)
015. Kaiser Chiefs - Oh My God
- Oh my god, I can't believe it, how much this songs major ass! Seriously, this is by far the best single they've released and one of my favorite songs from the album to sing along to. It get's me totally excited!
![](http://www.mtv.com/shared/media/images/artist/a/amos_tori/az_official/376x180.jpg)
014. Tori Amos - Sweet The Sting
- Okay, I really did not know this was a single by Tori until really recently and I am so glad she released this. This is one of her best songs on The Beekeeper and it's just so relaxing! I love her voice and I love this song!
![](http://www.mtv.com/shared/media/images/artist/b/bloc_party/az_official/376x180.jpg)
013. Bloc Party - Banquet
- Not only is this catchy as hell, this song is what got me into the Bloc Party. This song is awesome because of the great lead in and the lyrics! Not to mention, the dude's voice is just as insane as the other stuff and yeah, their performance definitely helped me like this song even more. Hell, I remember staying on a page just because the song was on and no other reason! how's that for electricity?
![](http://www.mtv.com/shared/media/images/artist/f/franz_ferdinand/az_official/376x180.jpg)
012. Franz Ferdinand - Do You Want To
- This is one insane song and the video doesn't help either and that is pretty awesome. The guys actually look like they are little kids in a few scenes so that was amusing and still is. Just like Weezer's Beverly Hills, I don't think this helps describe the album as the first single off of it. It was a good way to show they kept their insanity.
![](http://www.mtv.com/shared/media/images/artist/a/apple_fiona/az_official/376x180.jpg)
011. Fiona Apple - O' Sailor
- Fiona Apple's song is just wonderful. It's not only Fiona singing this brilliant song, the video is quite good as well and overall the voice of fiona just makes the lyrics sound so even more beautiful than the song does in general from music.
![](http://www.mtv.com/shared/media/images/artist/w/weezer/az_official/376x180.jpg)
010. Weezer - We Are All On Drugs
- This is just the most insane song ever! okay, fine, maybe not everrr, but it is one of the most insane songs this year! While I prefer this version over the altered version, I love the solid sound in the starting and then just the lyrics which help me want to rock out to the song itself. It's pure awesome-ness all around and it was one of the songs I would get really into if I was up and it came on, haha.
![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v410/prakesha/ko.jpg)
009. Squeak E. Clean (featuring Karon O.) - Hello Tomorrow
- This is, by far, the shortest song you'll see on this list. While it was made for an Adidas commercial, it was just too awesome to not list. I love Karon O's voice in this and just the simplicity of the music is so nice. I know there is a longer 4:04 minute version but that really is not as good as the shorter version other than it seeming extended for no reason. The dings are so awesome! Her voice reminds me of a little kid or just really sweet and the insane music just helps make it sound better.
![](http://www.mtv.com/shared/media/images/artist/g/garbage/az_official/376x180.jpg)
008. Garbage - Bleed Like Me
- While the song itself is so awesome with Shirley's voice, lyrics and beat, the video even makes it better! I know Garbage released like four singles this year but this was the one that has both the video and the song to make the single worth it and while Sex Is Not The Enemy would have been the list if it wasn't for the video compared to this one, this song had the whole personal connection with the lyrics. Seriously, this song is awesome, just awesome.
![](http://www.mtv.com/shared/media/images/artist/n/nine_inch_nails/az_official/376x180.jpg)
007. Nine Inch Nails - Only
- Nine Inch Nails, oh, definitely did not expect to love their singles as much as I did this year. I think Mikal did a nice job with saying "The guy who said he wanted to **** you like an animal finally grew up into the man who still plans on ****ing you like an animal.", lol. Seriously, that was one awesome single and this is just as awesome but a bit less insane. I'm a huge fan of the way the song goes until the chorus when it just gets insane and yeah, this single even had an awesome video! Those things you can put your hand or face against and it'd come out in that shape on the other side? YEAH my kid side wants that so badly!
![](http://www.mtv.com/shared/media/images/artist/c/coldplay/az_official/376x180.jpg)
006. Coldplay - Talk
- Beautiful, Beautiful song. While it took me a while to like the actual album version, I really like the music to Talk and the overall lyrics. I really would consider this the best song off of X & Y and am really glad they decided to release it as a single. The starting is such a great way to get this song going and then, yeah, I can't describe it. It just is one of my favorite songs this year. Maybe I also really like it because the topic is something I really like to do and want to do with certain someone that I'm afraid to.
and that's all for tonight folks! Yes, I made it under 12! WOO! [edit]NEXT UP: THE TOP FIVE![/edit]
