Back then was probably easier to do things in life without finishing high school, but today its not the same. People should just finish their high school education and then decide from there what they would like to do. Also many of the people being listed as high school drop outs seems to be in the entertainment industry. Now just imagine the amount of people who don't make it there. ALOT of people.

I'm a high school dropout. I dropped out when I was 17 years old. I was behind in credits because I goofed off, and I attended an alternative high school because I got expelled for bad behavior. The main reason I dropped out was because I was tired of getting ****ed with everyday by other students. I got picked on mercilessly, but I actually had the balls to stand up for myself, and that resulted in me getting into fights and getting suspended a lot. I am now 18, have my GED, and I'm starting college in a few months. Any of you who look down upon someone just because they dropped out of high school should be ashamed. I'm still going somewhere in life, regardless of what people think the stereotype of a dropout is.

I don't judge them and that's there choice, but like I don't think I'd be in a relationship with them or anything unless they try to get themselves together or get a GED.

Some of you guys have a lot of nerve judging someone especially since you wouldn't want to be judged.
Long as they decided to get an education after the fact then cool.
And if not that's their choice it will be harder for them though.

school has never been my thing. personally i dont think its fit for the modern society, to me it seems like its very old fashioned, maybe even a little primitive to put people into an education system where the geniuses are praised and the not so gifted left to fall. dropping out would be what i would want to do, but i think it takes a lot of guts to go out and actually work while education seems like such a safe place for people and doesnt really expose them too the real world, especially as of now education seems like an important thing, and i never really understood how anyone could think one shot exams determining someones future is very fair, or even how education is at all related to how well someone is as a worker..since education leads on to work.

i dont know if this made sense and i know i went a little wild and off topic but this is my opinion

My family members attended high school and college and 80% of them are doctors. They're quite successful.

My mother lived in Vietnam and dropped out of high school to assist my grandmother. She moved to America and became a successful business owner.

If everyone finished high school, then that would just mean more job competition. Why can't those holier-than-thou people judging the high school drop outs be thankful that other people didn't finish high school and make their well-paying job that much easier to attain.
