I don't think Red is anywhere near her peak. I certainly don't think she's released her masterpiece yet, but it's going to be hard to top Fearless in terms of complete domination.
I think Red is her peak but she'll continue to have moderate success throughout her career and it's really impressive because her music is nothing special. Red is my favorite album so far
they said the same thing with Speak Now but ok. She's only going to grow more worldwide, her peak will be similar to Shania Twain's Come On Over imo.
I feel like magazines purposely like to set people to fail, doing her just just like people have done with Adele. And the minute they fail to reach the heights again, no matter how small, people will scream "FLOP". People are already trying it with Let The Sky Fall.
As an artist, she has yet to peak. She's only 22. Still plenty of time for that. But it will be around LP6-LP8.
Good thing that ppl thing she will keep this commercial success tho. The only one that can stop this is herself, if she decided to take her own advice on "The Lucky One".
She'll never have a song that's considered a masterpiece/true classic.
I think You Belong With Me is the closest she will ever get to that. We Are Never Ever Whatever It's Called may outsell it in the long run, but it won't be remembered.
She is still light years away from topping Shania's and Faith's biggest hits.
Success doesn't equal making a universally acclaimed album, which is what she was referring to.
She actually wasn't referring to a universally acclaimed album, because when I mentioned that Swift already did that, she changed the subject to songs.

You think You Belong With Me is a masterpiece recording?
