TBH I can't really think of many, if any, songs that resemble Toxic in the slightest way, although it was undoubtedly a huge hit, I don't think it made a lot of impact on the stream of music. I'm not sure about Holiday either. Both songs are great though.
Holiday is one of my favorite Madonna songs. It's danceable even if it's not really uptempo. I love the beat, the lyrics and repetitive lines she utters towards the end of the song. I like it more than some of her earliest songs.
I haven't heard toxic or holiday recently but I think Holiday set the tone for popular music later in the 80's where toxic is just a popular Britney song
"Holiday" may have not been a massive hit for Madonna, but it's certainly a memorable song. It's fun and uplifting with universal appeal. I think it has had a much larger impact than "Toxic".
