I would not say that. For once I'll use certifications (since I don't have exact sales) to make a point. Britney's most certified album here is her first, which is 4x platinum. I Am Sasha Fierce was 3x platinum, so the difference between these albums is no where near as stark as it is in the U.S.

For further perspective

Delta Goodrem's highest selling album is 15x platinum.

Pink's I'm Not Dead and Funhouse are both 11x platinum

Madonna's Ray of Light is 3x platinum.

Being certified first week means there was big initial shipment, nothing more. I don't know if FF is anywhere near Platinum since it last saw ARIA top 100 chart last August and it ended up being #86 Yearly

Beyonce's I Am... Tour did really well here. I'm not the stats type but I know she sold out all her shows. From what I read most people LOVE Beyonce; the perception of her is always positive. We love raw performers over here, and most big international acts do sell well when they choose to come here and perform.


And Australians aren't racist. We just have a different sense of humour. I mean, how can a country be the most multi-cultural on earth and be racist. Our nation is built off of convicts & immigrants from Asia and Southern Europe. Doesn't make any sense to me.

Well there all pretty close. In Album sales and radio hits. Beyone gets the most spins in my local radio. But that wouldn't be enough for an overall answer.
