That's super impressive considering Pink Friday peaked at #16 and considering she's a female rapper. Not only that, but it may even outsell Madonna. Very happy for her that she's finally getting stable support outside of the US.
That's huge.. Katy debuted with 54k and went on to selling 900k.
If Nicki could come anywhere close to that, then it's an amazing accomplishment for a female rapper from the US.

50-60k 1st week is actually really great for Nicki. Pink Friday didn't even do that great there, so I'm surprise she'll be #1. Plus what kinda promo did she do in the UK?

She didn't do any promo. She's going to do a promo tour in the UK later this month though. Starships was just huge there.
I mean... the numbers are mediocre; not bad, but also nothing to brag about.
Her last album only peaked at #16 in the UK. This is impressive for a female rapper from the UK who did absolutely no promo. 60-70K is amazing, considering some of the more famous girls are struggling to hit that.
