Yes, and chemo is has become much less harsh. When I went through chemo (for Hodgkin's Lymphoma) last year and earlier this year, no one even knew I had cancer (except family and friends). I was able to stay in school and live a normal life. I didn't even lose my hair. There were times I felt kinda ******, but I never once threw up or had to stay home because I wasn't feeling well. Now, Hodgkin's Lymphoma is also one of the easiest cancers to treat, so it may be different for breast cancer. But I'm glad she found it early, and hope treatment goes as smooth for her as it did for me.
