MTV are so annoying. I stopped taking them seriously this year after all their Britney vs Gaga / HIAM vs BTW polls that made ATRL look like a place of peace and harmony.
Not that Gaga hasn't had massive influence on the pop scene.
I hate MTV now. They think by doing this stuff they're staying musically relevant in any way. Mindless Teen Television needs to sit down.

First, E.T. was announced as a single back in Dec.
Second, the song is called E.T., and you expect her not to come from outta space?
Third, E.T. video was shot at Feb 16. BTW premiered Feb 28. How the hell could she copy Lady Gaga?
No, that is stupid. The song is called E.T. clearly Katy will be acting a little strange in the video. GaGa did not invent strange. It just so happens that the two of them have similar ideas for their latest songs.
E.T. was leaked at the beginning of the summer (as a demo), the music video then would have been weird and bizzarre, and there would have been no GaGa comparisons. GaGa has not influenced this video at all. I am sick of artists being constantly compared to her just because they do something out of the ordinary.

Katy does exactly what Gaga does, if you notice, but showing different perspectives of it.
Like Firework with its funny way of showing how everybody shines () and E.T., that will most probably show how everybody is different and strange and still the same
