They spent like $100 million+ on marketing
Passengers likely won't break even. JLoose and daddy Pratt can take that L

But I suppose ATRL User YoYo could be more reputable than Hollywood Reporter and Forbes.

the loss will be only about $15 million.
Oh that's not too bad. It will make it back with DVDs, stay seething.

If people didn't go see it, why would they buy it on DVD?

So they would have broken even if they only paid Jennifer Lawrence $5 million?
Will her earning per film decrease by 75 percent?

What kind of flop logic? It is precisely those people that missed it in theaters that would be most likely to watch it at home.

It's not just marketing. Theaters get to keep 55% of the revenues, and the remaining 45% has to cover all the production and marketing costs.

It needs $400M to break even.
It's probably going to get pass $100M in the US, so about $50M left there. It's outperforming Gravity in Asia so far, which did $70M in China alone. So it's looking at another $250M at the least to it's already $120M bow. We'll see if it has legs.

Money is money, doesn't matter where it comes from. It needs to at least double it's budget to make some profit.......
