How does an artist as legendary as Mariah Carey start and end? I'm struggling to understand the stan concept even more so on this occasion.
This isn't like the "main pop girls" that haven't established themselves as one of the greatest. Mariah is a legend, and along with Whitney and Aretha, is and will be known as the top female vocalists in the history of music.
I'd actually have some respect for people here if they just openly admitted that they don't like her, are ignorant (in a musical sense) and just want desperately for her to fail as a form of entertainment.
It wouldn't be the first time that people have tried to discredit an icon and/or legend but you'd think they would have smartened up by now and realise just how inhumane that behaviour is.
These are people that are a part of the industry that you're so heavily invested in, so why not be more knowledgeable as to what their everyday lives are like (the bad sides of celebrity culture) and be more compassionate so those who love the said artist can enjoy their musical career for longer. Having said that, that's probably the centre of the issue - you're selfish.
Thanks, typing my thoughts out helps me understand.
Not people asking "when will Mariah end" when their fave's career hasn't even begun
Pretty much
OT: How does a legend's career end? The point of being a legend is that your legacy lives on, which the Queen of Christmas and best vocalist of all time's legacy will
Nah, she snatched headlines all over the world, so she put her name out there again, in a way the E! special and the Lionel Richie tour wouldn't. If she releases a good, radio friendly lead single soon, she'll be in a MUCH better place than she was when she was released Triumphant, #B, Chanteuse and Infinity
Basically this. I'm sure she'll gain back the respect. Ha Emancipation of Mimi 2.0 is coming.
