She lip-syn anyway. The only thing went wrong was the technical problem of the playback. Tbh, i wouldn't rehearsal that long too if I am a professional lip-sync.
She sings OVER a full backtrack usually.
The sound engineers played only the backing vocals & didn't have her in-ear monitors on.
That meant she literally could not sing or even attempt to lipsync.
Why would she deliberately embarass herself like that? It makes 0 sense.

nnnn no she was waiting for the backtrack to start, clearly. Her voice wasn't sounding good the bits she did sing, and the whistle notes on the track were still going. And WBT was straight from the album so she finally lip synced it
That doesnt matter. You've been doing this for almost thirty years now. If you can't do your best to sing live and sing along to the beat or do more than just simply stand there doing nothing that's embarrassing. She's too talented. Her ego needs to be knocked down a couple hundred notches.
