OK I know one of the YTTers who may be reading this may be like "yo but you were bopping to Broccoli? it was one of your top songs this year??", something like that. but the difference is, that's just a verse from him. and one of his best verses.
being **** at lyricism and being **** at having decent, listen-worthy bars is one thing. but it's his flow and his utter offensiveness and disrespect towards rap he displays in this song and throughout his music that makes me absolutely DETEST this song.
coupled with quite gross lyrics like "**** you so good you'll be crying out the christ" this song is just awful from start to finish. the whole song is essentially him telling a girl that he doesn't want to have a serious, actual relationship with a girl ("I can't have no wife") but instead he wants to do a one-night stand with her ("I just want you for the night").
these one-night stand songs don't show how strong or bold you are for not wanting to enter a relationship with a girl that you just boned, it just shows you're a ***** who can't take a relationship seriously and probably shouldn't ever enter parenthood.
this guy has 0 respect for rap and is just straight up awful asides from that single verse in broccoli where he carries a flow with some decent/good lyrics. the only reason why it's not ranking any higher is because it didn't become a hit therefore its impact was limited. here's to hoping that no lil yachty clones sprout up
P.S. the video is absolute visual diarrhoea, do yourself a favour and stream it on spotify if you want to listen to it.
simply put britney sounds seriously nasal here and her cheesy lyrics about "putting on a private show" don't help. nor does the "WORKIT, WORKIT BOY WATCH ME WORKIT, SLIDE DOWN MY POLE WATCH ME SPIN IT AND TWERKIT" parts. it's like they tinkered with her voicebox and made her voice annoyingly high-pitched and nasal. this song seems like it had a lot of potential.

Charlie Puth - "We Don't Talk Anymore" (feat. Selena Gomez)
there's not much to say about this song, really.
'we don't talk anymore' is a song from whispery falsetto connaisseur charlie puth featuring whispery singing connaisseuse selena gomez.
… btw, that's one thing I DON'T get about this song. why is charlie puth's whispery falsetto the reason why people know him? I mean that's the reason why people thought 'see you again' was ~so emotional~ when it was actually as emotional as a piece of cardboard. anyway, this song is LITTERED with puth's annoying, whispery falsetto. when will he learn how to do actual falsettos in his music?
not only that, but this song follows that dreaded tropical house trend that has littered 2016's charts and musical style.
not to mention the half-assed songwriting. "we don't talk anymore like we used to do"… the "do" should not be there. "every now and then I think you might want me to come show up at your door"… why is the word "come" there? the song is full of filler words!
selena brings nothing to the table. she has emotion but it's lacking.
btw, what do we call this ship? Guthez? Charlomez? Selenie? Puthena?
I'm one of the few people that kind of like Private Show Her vocals are beyond tragic (but who cares about vocals in a Brit song?) but it's still cute tho
