ALBUMS
#19 Weezer by Weezer
I could easily write an essay about the things that I dislike about this album, but for some weird reason, it ended up being a fun listen.
#18 Tired of tomorrow by Nothing
This was a great introduction to this band (which I didn't actually know prior to this release). The noisier tracks are the ones that stand out.
#17 Human performance by Parquet Courts
It took me some time to fully appreciate this album. (The vocal tone might be an acquired taste for some people)
#16 City sun eater in the river of light by Woods
I loved their approach to psych folk on this album, can't wait for what's next!
#15 Summer 08 by Metronomy
So this came as a surprise. I really really really like this album from start to finish. I would go as far to say that this is my favourite Metronomy album. I know that some of you might say that TER is their best work, BUT I think that considering what they were shooting for in TER (and couldn't achieve) Summer 08 ends up sounding like a more authentic move for the band.
#14 Plays the music of twin peaks by Xiu Xiu
I went into this project without expecting anything out of the ordinary from them, but I was pleasantly surprised by the sound they achieved with this one. A hauntingly beautiful rendition of this series' soundtrack.
