10. Stone Temple Pilots STONE TEMPLE PILOTS I always figured STP would get back together again one day, provided Scott Weiland didn't have a fatal overdose before it could happen. So now the boys are back and the time away from each other seems to have done them a lot of good.I can’t wait to see them perform this Thursday. Dream comes true. My favorite tracks: between the lines / Dare If You Dare / Bagman

9. Brandon FLowers FLAMINGO Mr. Flowers has done a good job with his first solo album, Flamingo. All songs show how Brandon experimenting with different instruments and sounds, I like his symthpop side. My favorite tracks: Crossfire / Hard Enough feat. Jenny Lewis / Magdalena / Was It Something I Said

8. Jack Johnson TO THE SEA I have been a huge fan of Jack since “Flake” era. This album is one of his best, with thoughtful lyrics and catchy melodies. My favorite tracks: at or with Me / Red Wine, Mistakes, Mythology / You and Your Heart

7. Broken Bells BROKEN BELLS When James Mercer (The Shins) and Brian Burton announced that they would be releasing an album together as Broken Bells, it instantly became one of the most anticipated alternative albums of 2010. It’s not disappointed; this album is a mix of Beck, Gorillaz, Gnarls with a indie touch. My favorite tracks: The Ghost Inside/ The High Road / Vaporize

6. Gorillaz PLASTIC BEACH I absolutely love the third studio album by English alternative hip hop group Gorillaz (Damon Albarn). First of all, there is not a single song that you can say: this song is the “Clint Eastwood” or “Feel Good Inc” of the album but, every single song in this album is fantastic. Highlight the contributions of “Mos Def”, "Lou Red" and "Snoop Dog" for example. My favorite tracks: On Melancholy Hill / Stylo / Rhinestone Eyes .

5. Band of Horses INFINITE ARMS There aren't any standouts like “Is There a Ghost”, "Funeral," or "No One's going to love you" on this album, but there are some decent songs. It’s enough for me. My favorite tracks: Laredo / Factory / Infinite Arms.

4. Mumford & Sons Sigh No More This band is growing on me more and more with every listen of the music that I have found so far. Yes, the folk existed before; obviously they didn't invent it. But they do it so perfectly. My favorite tracks: The Cave / Little Lion Man / Winter Winds

3. Jimmy Eat World INVENTED I feel that JEW is growing up and learning at the same time. Please continue to create astounding music. My favorite tracks: Stop / You & I / Coffee & Cigarettes / Movielike

2. Kings Of Leon COME AROUND SUNDOWN Everyone expected a lot from them. But I’m more than satisfied with the efforts of Caleb and company. Compared to their previous releases, this album seems like a collection of B sides. So it's a great album, period. And those who do not like Comes around Sundown… go listen to Nickelback. My favorite tracks: Pyro / Mary / Radioactive / Pickup Truck / The End / Mi Amigo, but every song is excellent.

1. The Black Keys BROTHER I've been a fan of The Black Keys since that I’ve heard “Your touch” when they quickly gained a reputation as a talented and powerful rock duo. “Brother" is an absolutely great album in every respect. It contains some of the funkiest material I've ever heard from a rock band. So I recommend all the songs, but especially: “Everlasting Light “ "Black Mud" "I'm Not The One" "Howlin' For You" "Tighten Up" and “ Never Gonna Give You Up”

Stone Temple Pilots Take A Load Off is such a load-takeoffer.

Brandon Flowers releasing a solo album is a risky move, but taking that risk sure paid off with this nicely crafted album. Crossfire

PLASTIC BEACH Gorillaz really stepped it up, yes! Rhinestone Eyes, Superfast Jellyfish, STYLO

Band Of Horses' Laredo is awesome, true. Same with Mumford & Sons' LLM, Black Keys' Tighten Up and KoL's Pyro <3

Invented is one of the most underrated rock albums this year. MBT should have been a massive hit.

I love those albums in a way. I haven't heard them complete, except "Flamingo" & "Plastic Beach".
I agree about JEW, they're learning with every album and they could become one of the most respected bands in the world.

Great music tastes. I've only heard completely Plastic Beach and Flamingo, same as Nimrod . It was interesting to see Brandon Flowers experimenting with new sounds not familiar with The Killers.

My favorite song of Plastic Beach is "On Melancholly Hill", I'm glad Gorillaz chose it as a single.
