Possibly relevant, possibly just coincidental, but it's worth noting that this and Love Me Like You Do are the only two songs she's released since last year that she hasn't written. Tove Lo wrote them both.
I love a lot of Ellie's writing, but with a couple exceptions on her last album, her style hasn't really been a good fit for the brand of Top 40-leaning Scandipop she's been aiming for. Or at least it doesn't feel like her heart's in it.
