No one is going to buy your music just because you are talented. They buy your music because they like the music. Then, when you've caught people's attentions by releasing a string of hits, they can start to pay attention to you as an individual artist, then they can notice that you are talented, and then they buy into you as the complete package.
Is someone really supposed to hear Player or Superlove on the radio and suddenly think "I don't know who this girl is but she sounds like the complete package even though I know nothing about her, so let me buy her music"?
I know this was probably already said but besides management tinashe big slip up was trying to crossover too soon. She should has establish her self on R&B/urban and gain a fan base before trying to go pop. Now neither formats use her 💀
