Welcome to the album survivor for Shakira's second bilingual album and seventh studio album, "Sale El Sol" or "The Sun Comes Out". The album was released worldwide October 19th. "Sale El Sol Tour/The Sun Comes Out Tour" is the tour promotion of this album and Shakira is currently selling out the american leg concerts and ready to come to Europe do the same thing.
All the songs in the album were wrote by Shakira and the album contains the hit single "Loca (feat. Dizzee Rascal)", some other duets with El Cata (Loca, Rabiosa), Gustavo Ceratti (Tu Boca) and Pitbull (Rabiosa). It also countains the World Cup anthemn "Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)" and a cover from one of Shakira's favourite bands The Xx, "Islands" (among with other songs).
"This album represents exactly who am I and my spirit at the moment, as an artist and as a woman", this is what Shakira tells about the album and that's why it's being so well received worldwide.
In its first week the album has been certified Diamond in Shakira's country, Colombia, Platinum in Venezuela and Greece and Gold in Brazil.
