Far from that but facts are FACTS. Just look at what each franchise has grossed and their acclaim it's obvious MCU is preferred so let's not be butt hurt little bitches and act like I'm a band wagoner for success when the proofs in the pudding
The fact that the films continually deny Storm her spotlight while focusing everything on Hugh Jackmon, McAvoy and Fassbender.
And even I will point out that Iron Man is Marvel's Wolverine but for good reason. He's the reason we have a MCU and also the reason nearly every studio is now doing a shared universe.
In no way should Wolverine be at the forefront of all the X-Men films besides one (and that being the latest one released after nearly two decades of the X-Mem franchise).
There's far better characters that deserve their due and if there ever were some real in place like Spider-Man with the MCU I guarantee that every X-Men member would get equal screen time.
The only way this could work is if Marvel completely reboots the entire X-Men movie universe and erases everything that has happened so far.
I personally think that some kind of deal between Marvel and Fox is in works behind the scenes, but if it happens, it'll probably happen in like Phase 5 or 6 of the MCU, so in likely 10 years or even more.

This isn't to say that X-Men films (DoFP is right up there with Marvel's best) are inherently bad. The issue lies with how little Fox cares about the source accuracy and real character development for all involved characters. Look at how badly treated Storm got in the original trilogy and she's got the same things in Apocalypse. And the fact that the franchise continues to milk Hugh's Wolverine, McAvoy and Fassbender to carry it says a lot.
There's a lot to be said for the tone of Marvel films (lighthearted etc) but the way Kevin Fiege operates is what makes the universe a great one. The cooperation with the comic book writers and hiring key talent in producing, screenplay and directing is what Fox really lacks in general (let's not pretend that F4 reboot wasn't the biggest disaster in the CBM genre).
If Fox does the same deal as with Spider-Man/Sony, they can easily start after two more of their solo X-Men films.
They could actually do that now, because Apocalypse is set in the 80s and DOFP cleared the original X-Men trilogy's timeline. What's clashing though (besides having zero references to each other) is the two Quicksilvers, despite the MCU one being dead.

I had an idea that there could be a story where there's a parallel universe and that's where the X-Men could factor in without having to reboot the series (or getting rid of the current to roster of X-Men) but it'd be tricky.
