I can honestly understand why people are getting more into kpop.. like a member above said music is too urban and indie these days I prefer the colourful songs //pop/... the people who say "expand your music taste\3!!!!1 are the same people who love the urban/trap scene atm
Rih and Beyoncé keep it interesting lately, but the last great year of music was 2011. When you have songs like Panda reaching number one, or that Justin Timberlake song you KNOW something's wrong.
Not people dragging me for liking Pop more than Urban.
This discussion was opened to ask a simple question, So saying "Expand your music taste" is unnecessary.

!!! That faux pretentious alternative pop trend needs to die already.
I don't listen to (vocal) music as much as I used to, but that's not because the music lately has been bad, it's because there's so much going on in my life right now that I don't find the time to listen to music.
OP, where do you look for pop music? Cause if you're checking the charts, I can totally understand why you're bored. There's plenty of colorful, fun pop music outside the charts. When will the pop girls do it?

I don't think anything needs to die tbh. I think every genre should co-exist, like they did at some point in the '90's. And that's the direction we're heading in tbh.
