I think they can use pressure on him it is friggin Sony and there were reports about how Luke's company wasn't doing that great. And if he'd resist they could hit block him wouldn't allow him to work with artists from other labels and/or won't use his productions. But they wouldn't anyway since this support is all show.

What Sony could do come up with an agreement to buy Kesha's deal from Luke and then sign her do another imprint or have her release right through them. But Luke has NO interest in letting her go. Kesha tried to buy out her contract before. Maybe now with the pressure Luke will cave.

At the end of the day, Sony or not Sony, the initial contract is between Luke and Kesha. This is a fact. You just can't break a contract like that if the justice doesn't allow it.
If there is no other solution, they better assure that Luke doesn't interfere in Kesha's future recordings, if she choses to fullfil the contract. Plus, I'm sure they could try to renegociate the contract and instead of Kesha being stuck in a contract with 6 (or 4???) other albums to deliver, allow her to record a 3rd and last album or something like that.

That would open up SONY to a multimillion dollar lawsuit from Dr. Luke/Kasz Records. You may disagree, but the U.S. courts have ruled that Kesha's contract is legally valid - SONY trying to strong-arm Luke into voiding the contract would be defying the U.S. courts and would be a huge legal exposure that no company can risk.

That'd be hard cause Dr. Luke allegedly spend $60M on Kesha which the court recognizes. If Sony interferes, they'll probably be buying Kesha's contract for what Dr. Luke thinks she still has on him and for what it's worth. If they put pressure on him, then they'll be doing something illegal since the contract is between Dr. Luke and Kesha without some kind of monetary gain on Dr. Luke's part. Nobody wants to buy an artist's contract unless it's gonna be profitable at the end. Kesha is a high risk investment imo. And I guess that's a reason why most labels might not be interested with buying her contract from Dr. Luke.
