I don't know how I feel about diversity to be honest. It needs to be worked on majorly before we get an ideal situation. I live in East London and although it is very diverse and the majority of people are lovely, some can be hostile to other races. For example, there have been a lot of protests over the amount of mosques being built in my local area as they just closed down a local hospital + bingo hall + church to build three new mosques even though there are at least 5 within a mile radius.
I am 100% here for diversity but I think it still needs a lot of work. There's a tension between people who refuse to accept change and those who don't want to intergrate with the rest of society. And that's not even mentioning those who only come to the country and abuse the system. I think we need stricter immigration policies.

this
I'm an immigrant myself, and I hate the lazy ass, isolated immigrants that bring bad name to the rest

I think the OP was including Turks.

I would personally love to immigrate to a French speaking European country. Life is just much better there. It's probably much harder to get in now because of stricter regulation regardless of religion.

But sadly that's often the case.
Fact is they're extremely underrepresented at higher educational institutions.
Most have jobs that require little to no education at all because they STILL make more money than they would in the country they came from. These are jobs that can be done by anyone so that leads to high unemployment in this group. The poor neighborhoods of the big cities here are growing every day and poverty rises. The poverty could also be a reason why this group is also overrepresented in crime. Some don't even speak Dutch and don't care to learn about European values.
It's all statistics on CBS so this info is based on facts
I have nothing against muslims (or any minority group for that matter) AT ALL but if you're not here to properly participate in our society you need to go. Obviously if you're in danger in your own country and you're here for asylum that's obviously fine. But if you come here invest in your future as well as (y)our country's.
Problem is Spain and Italy who keep ****ing up with border control.
It's becoming too much to handle.

Lol what? Muslims make up 6% of Belgium's population. Roman Catolicism is the most common religion by a huge margin, specially in Flanders.

You're forgetting about THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of third generation people who work their butt off in HBO and university. There are SO many hard-working immigrants from the second generation who handle their children very well and make do with so little, and they get overlooked by all the bad negativity around the ones that screw it up.

Not here for it. Islam is a sexist backward religion and it's not a 2 way street cos if a European goes to a muslim country they get decapitated.

What worries me is all those boats of illegal immigrants coming to Italy (since Malta and Greece reject them) from North Africa. They're not necessarily muslim, but these people come here with nothing and there's not much we can do for them, so they end up living in poor conditions (or, more usually, going to France)

There isn't much Spain or Italy can do about it. The EU as a whole should take actions cause it obviously not only affects Spain and Italy, but the whole union.
To answer the question, I agree with RomanNavy.

I agree but it's hard to talk about individuals right now.
There are many arabs who are doing great, actually friends of mine.
But as a GROUP these are some facts and like you said yourself; the ones who don't do **** and live off the government are the ones our society does NOT need.

Interesting TV-program about this subject
http://www.npo.nl/typisch-nederlands...VARA_101369454
It's a social experiment. They put 8 people from The Hague (in this city there live more immigrants than natives) from different nationalities, straight or not straight, men, women, Muslims, Antillian people, ordinary people, rich people etc.

This is so wrong...
It should be Bangladeshi, not Bengali. Bengalis are an ethnic group from Bangladesh and eastern India. Not all Bangladeshis are Bengali and not all Bengalis are Bangladeshi.
Most British Indians are definitely not Muslim. There are more black, European and Arab Muslims in the UK.

1. Do you understand "mainly" ?
2. 98% of Bangladeshi are Bengali, the 2% are Chakma, Marma and other 25 ethnic groups. "Bangladeshi" is a word almost never used ...
3. You know that among the 1.3 billion people in India, almost 100 million people are muslim right ?
4. Black muslims from Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mozambique, Somalia etc, Arab muslims from Egypt, Liban are minorities ... they're FAR from being as big as the bengalis or pakistani ...
