Start warming up the Milano, because we finally know when Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 2 is set to take off.
Director James Gunn officially revealed earlier today that production on his Guardians sequel will begin in February 2016. While Gunn did not have a concrete date set, it looks like Guardians Vol. 2 will begin in earnest early next year.
Many have speculated on what Gunn’s next Guardians installment might include, or who may join the cast. We do know, however, that Star-Lord’s mysterious father will at least not be the Spartax ruler, J'Son, as he is in Marvel’s comics. It was also confirmed by Gunn this week that Vin Diesel will indeed return to voice Groot.
Despite downplaying the idea of a Guardians/Avengers crossover, and saying Guardians Vol. 2 is a "story unto itself, not about setting up that crossover," he did confirm that he was "talking" with the Russo brothers about Avengers: Infinity War 1 &2, saying "We all talk about it." http://www.newsarama.com/26322-james...ters-more.html
