I didn't really use western music this year so my lists will be completely kpop but my favourite English album + songs were from the masterpiece Dangerous Woman
As an overall comeback with regards to music, MV, concept etc. this might be my favourite thing EXO did this year. Everything was colourful and fun and all 5 songs are really well-produced with a funky, kind of SHINee sound.
I LOVED Chen's voice on this (got his version of the physical+photocard ), I'm glad they didn't go down the ballad route
I liked GFRIEND when they debuted with Glass Bead, but I wasn't feeling them and kind of ignored them until they made this comeback.
The song is so upbeat and high-energy all the way through, perfect for summer. I love the 'nanananavillera' parts the most and I owe this song for making me re-stan the group
I can't decide between Navillera and Rough, but I love both.
I liked the EXO-CBX mini but tbh I haven't listened to it except for the title track since nn. I probably only like it because of the SHINee vibe it has.
I love this song! It sounds so girly and hyperactive which I love about kpop plus the MV is well done and interesting. I'm still not super into the group but this is my favourite single from them
When EX'ACT first came out, I remember hating this song the most because of the girl you got me flying up parts. But over the year I've come to realize that this song has the best chorus on the album where my faves Suho and Chen go OFF, too bad there's only two.
I also love the extra, xtina-like adlibs all over the song.
