Britney Spears, is ready to increase the 18-49 demographic ratings for X Factor. Simon Cowell is a smart business man, he desperately wants to compete with American Idol and The Voice. This is the way to do it!
Aside from the hit singles, record breaking accomplishments and being showered with awards just to get her to attend award shows -- personality wise, Britney's been as basic as white bread since 2008. In some aspects, she needs the show just as much as it needs her.
Maybe Britney will start feeling like a "cool chick," again.
I really can't see this working though. Kelly Rowland became incredibly pissed off with the amount of time and effort she had to put into the UK show. I can imagine Britney being the same. It isn't just sitting in a seat every week and giving a few opinions, X Factor requires mentoring and being in the studios basically every day of the week.
If she would be willing to give up her time like this and put in the effort then it could be great. However if we're going to get the recent awkward Britney who says everything is 'amazing' then this will end up as a trainwreck. She needs to be a little more fesity and be confident in what she does.

2. Dora the Explorer >>> Britney's personality on TV (from what she's shown us in the FF era interviews, appearances, etc…)
3. I don't think a person who lipsyncs her way through her shows and that lipsynced on the SAME show 3 years ago is the best candidate to judge people's voice.
