Decent song, although it definitely wasn’t getting a top 50 if non-single songs were allowed.
Two Door Cinema Club
"Sleep Alone"
The biggest disappointment of the year, Sleep Alone is enjoyable and blah blah blah, but their debut is awesome, I could mention at least 8 tracks off Tourist History that are better than this first single, the music video is cute though.
The Cranberries
"Tomorrow"
I like her vocals, the lyrics aren’t terrible and one of the greatest bands of 90s is back! Why not like it?
Band of Horses
"Knock Knock"
Another disappointment, what a throwback going from songs like The Funeral to songs like this, anyway I liked it when it was released, the lyrics are tacky but the song itself isn’t bad.
Knock knock. Who's there? Obama, judging from the banner.
"It's Time" and "Sleep Alone" were okay, but I'm glad to see that they are so low in the top 50. As for The Cranberries...well, at least they're back, right? RIGHT?!
My expectations were so high for this, and now I'm a bit disappointed, The Killers seem be afraid to explore other sounds,Runaways is so unoriginal, but at least it has catchy hooks and that's enough to them get a spot in my top 50.
Foster The People
"Houdini"
Finally a non first single! The chorus alone makes the song amazing, but that's not enough, they also had to make an awesome video. Congrats Foster, you got me again.
Dirty Projectors
"Gun Has No Trigger"
The first single off Dirty Projectors' new album is in a tenuous line between boring and amazing, the bassline is good, vocals are bland and those girls help to turn the song in one of my favorites, but it is not worth anything when you're not in the right mood.
Passion Pit
"I'll Be Alright"
It is so fun and melodic at the same time, I love the effects, this is not Passion Pit’s best material, but still very enjoyable, full of elegance and with an awesome bridge.
