Alot of reasons tbh. First of, Sonically and Quality wise her music for the most part remains stable and consistent and unchanging. There is also the fact that she was always labeled as an underdog, by both the media and herself and let's be honest, people love to root for the underdogs. There is also that her brand is completely separate from her music. Her music is not attached to her brand so if her little known brand (let's be real for the slayage of her sales she really doesn't egt much attention) suffers, it wont affect her music so wont affect her sales.

Avril did a complete 180 with her image and sound
And Britney doesn't really care for her career/music anymore she's been over it

It's simple: people see her as talented performer, they relate to her songs, she was never artisit for the moment (never oversaturated market with her name, that's why people never got tired of her). She just cares about her career.

But is Pink a popstar? I wouldn't call her one, maybe a Pop artist but not a popstar. When you think of the world popstar; Britney, Madonna, Gaga etc, they pop up. Not someone like Pink.

Anyway, she's non-threatening, likeable, has decent music, appeals to a more general and larger base, never became bigger than her music like Britney (not that is a bad thing since one of the reasons Brit is an icon is because of her power as a celebrity) etc. Pink has always been kinda 'there', just quietly selling albums, singles and tour tickets. She's dependable and never strays away from herself from era to era, such as Xtina did, like the difference between B2B and Bionic is insane. People want that from a singer.

Her music has mostly delivered the same qualities people loved her for. May not be my personal taste, but I can see why people like it.

She was also very interested in recent years in having a career unlike Britney or Christina.

She didn't really blow up till 2009 so her reign is very recent. She may catch up and pass Christina and Avril, but it doesn't look likely that she'll even end close to Britney's career.
