No shade, she's extremely successful and I respect her as an artist and as a person, but to my ears her vocals were never as impressive as Whitney's and Mariah's vocals in their respective primes. She can sustain notes and her technique is obviously on point, but her tone, her belting and her lack of runs and strong adlibs (in my opinion) make her inferior to the other two.

Mariah, Whitney and Celine were the vocal trinity (my opinion and mostly) during the early 1980´s to the late 1990´s that influenced many contemporary artist´s vocals in today´s music industry. You do realize that Celine keeps on selling a lot of albums , don't you ??
She's way more popular than Mariah on a worldwide basis.
Her French album sold around 1.6 million copies and last year's Loved Me Back To Life sold in the same range.
That's over 3 million copies in 2 years alone.

And if we're being really honest, Whitney and Mariah are technically much better vocalists than Celine. I don't dispute Celine's natural ability or her impact, but in their respective primes, Celine isn't as good as Whitney or Mariah.

I agree with all of this. I know R&B/Hiphop isnt as big in Eastern Europe as it is in the US as they are still listening to Abba and early Madonna in those regions.

She's not as good at Whitey. Mariah has more number ones. Her star power has never been like theirs. Her songs are forgettable. Only the titanic song is a classic. Why would the weakest link in the trinity not be ignored? Whitney's peak overshadows everything walking & Mariah is still relevant.

Because she does the same music all the time. Outside of Titanic, she hasn't really done anything interesting.

Mariah and Whitney have huge personas that go with their talents. Both have crossed over multiple genres and have released interesting videos that kept them in the consciousness of pop culture. Mariah had her iconic Dreamlover phase, Fantasy took her to a whole level, and her shedding the whole adult contemporary/pop for sexy r&b with Butterfly. Celine never had that kind of transformation. She was really just a voice.

I have yet to see an all-time list that puts Celine on top of Whitney or Mariah. Everybody seems to agree that she is the least recognized of the trinity, and is easily replaceable by Christina.

maybe on ATRL and ATRL is irrelevant place

Her last album (released 6months ago) sold very well...almost on the same level as biggest pop girls
Maybe in US she is ignored but in my country you can hear her songs on radio almost every day (not Titanic song) but you can't hear Mariah or Whitney

Whitney and Mariah were both better singers and each had something to offer. Whitney's rich tone and Mariah's whistle register set them apart in a completely different league to Celine and made them more unique and memorable. Also, I think they were more musically daring and switched up their sounds better than Celine did.

I love Celine though so it's a shame if she is neglected, I wouldn't really know if she actually is or not.

I will say because her voice is so sharp and too clear for example Mariah has that husky crispy voice and Whitney is Whitney!
