If they're gonna play more hip-hop, and rock, it has to be good ****--something that MTV rarely shows nowadays. Nas, for instance, or Method Man. nine inch nails--they had one of the biggest MTV hits of all-time with "Closer", now what's the big issue with ignoring them? Rock music is not limited to Panic!, Fall Out Boy, Hawthorne Heights, etc. Otherwise I'm not going to bother watching this post-TRL show and their little plan is foiled.
It's not like NIN, Incubus, Korn, Stone Sour aren't accessible or radio-friendly either, they always get hits on Active Rock and Alternative, just not on Top 40 [sans "Through Glass"]. So don't be a wiseass and tell me those bands don't have a place on MTV. I got into most of them because of MTV--not MTV2, mind you,
