people speculate whether Alan Rickman will get noticed by the Oscars. hmmm. i would hope so. but they don't care about the acting awards for these movies, they'll just give this film technical. but i'm fine with that. nominations are nominations.

If Harry Potter doesn't win an Oscar by the end of this all...
I figured I'd just make this the Discussion Thread.
Theres going to be a lot more news coming in the next few weeks so theres no need for me to spam the site with it all
They're really giving their all for this movie - the staff and the cast. This movie better get those nominations and awards, and it would be pretty nice if some of the cast will be nominated too, and eventually win. To win is a long shot, but I have high hopes. If The Return of The King won 11 awards, definitely Deathly Hallows Pt 2 can win too.
I know the movie will be epic and really dramatic.
Part 2 is "much more operatic, colourful and fantasy-oriented", a "big opera with huge battles."
- David Yates
I think, the last scene with Dobby fits better on this movie and would have had a better treatment.

I think it would have been too rushed... I mean there would have been like No climax if Dobbys Death wasnt included in Part 1. And it kind of gave the viewers a taste of the mood of the next film. Judging by the opening scenes its going to be a fairly sad/dramatic film throughout.
from what i've read, it's 2 hours long. they say it's the shortest of the series. and i'm fine with that. there will be so much going on, that i don't think anyone will notice it's 2 hrs long.

Yup its basically confirmed to be the shortest now... But even then 2 Hours is still long
Either way the pacing is what im worried about. I hope everything doesn't just fly by and they actually take the time to bring out the emotions in each scene,
