I think it's too much to blame TSI just on race - it was a combo of race sex and age that did her in. Why root for the old, blackWOMAN when you can support the young, white MAN?

Celine and Mariah are Whitney clones! No flamebait, but their labels were trying to find younger white/bi-racial versions of Whitney. Despite all those sales, they don't have as much respect as Whitney. I do think Mariah = Whitney, but Mariah = Whitney >>>>>>>>>>>>>> dog **** >>>>>>>>>>>> Celine.

Bitch please, if Madonna flashed a titty she would have sold 20 million more albums. Janet was blacklisted and damn near put out of the pop kingdom for what she did. Justin however went on to sell 8 million albums.

Maybe but I'm not convinced. Do you think it would have had these consequences if Madonna's saggy boob was on display instead of Damita Jo's? I don't think so.
People forgive whities for things that would crucify a nicca for life. Do you think a lost chick like Lindsay Lohan would have that much support if she were black? She'd be queueing in the Welfare talking fried chicken and STD's with the Me'Lissa, Tenitra, Shanikisha of the world.

But at least take comfort in this - Beyonce right now has more respect than Janet EVER did in her entire career. Beyonce has four general field Grammy nominations (1 Album, 3 ROTYs) - Janet still hasn't been nominated there.

Omg shutup. The least ignorant people on the planet criticize ANYONE for their wrongdoings, regardless of skin color or sexuality. (Not saying Janet did anything wrong, she obviously didnt). If people are truly uncomfortable with race or sexuality, they would automatically feel bad for someone due to their skin color, or they would just hate them for anything.

Hollywood is white owned and tend to be racist, sorry. Look at the Academy Awards or the movies. I don't see many non white people making waves. i don't see many non white people headlining blockbusters.
As for the blacks in the music industry, they're always considerd as RnB artists even when they make country music. It took so many years for Beyonce to be considered as a pop artist. It speaks VOLUMES.

NO! She's stale and her attitude is contrived. She likes EVERYTHING and EVERYONE. Celine can sing her butt off, but she just has never done it for me EVER. Whitney is far more diverse. I think you are only taking into consideration some of her older material. Listen to "I Love The Lord" and tell me she didn't have soul or was just a technical voice.

Control was nominated for AOTY.
I do think Beyonce has more respect from Grammy voters --- her peers, but critical respect during both primes go to Janet. Too bad her latest material has been terrible.
