Don't forget that Nicole ALWAYS records, during the PCD era she worked on HNIN, During the HNIN era she still worked on music, During the DD era she worked on music, Now she is still working on music.
Tbh hopefully after these holidays, she has a clear mind for the album and that she has the vision back of what she wants and what she is gonna do and how she finish this.

Yeah she has not found completely who she is as artist but going "urban" will not help her tbh, since worldwide not much countries are that open for urban unless Rihanna, Beyoncé or someone else who is big releases it.
I would love though if she would go a bit more alternative though, I think if she would work more with Gary Lightbody, the people behind Adele's biggest hits, Rick Rubin, Mike Shinoda and the XX's and stuff she could get some vocally powerful album.
But yeah she is not 20 anymore, so I guess she is afraid to waste time to make it big and stuff, but I will support her whatever she will do.
I do agree that some of her songs (but mostly just Wet and RT) (though i don't agree with DHYB/TWM, since Cold has the same vibe if you ask me) are a bit too bandwagon jump music, I would like her to jump into hypes into her own way, instead of recording RT, she also could ahve gone for a Buttons-esque song or go for something as Erotica Revolution.
