Once you have the original melody, changing parts of the songs isn't very difficult. Any ad libs are created by the artist and if they want that in the final demo, that itself is technically a "new" creation.

edit: just heard the original version from Ryan Tedder that PULSE posted. So Bey basically removed the bridge altogether and added an adlib. Kudos to her tbh, cuz the bridge in the original version tried to fit too many words into it. The adlib works perfectly.
