That's not comparable when ALL nominees are white. 0 Black, Latino, Asian, etc. noms.

I agree with Viola that the Oscars aren't the main issue and obviously that there should be more roles for POC, but I've been told that there have been plenty of worthy performances by POC in film this year. Although I haven't seen any of the movies, I'm taking their word for it. How was JLaw's performance in Joy any better than Kiki Rodriguez' in Tangerine? Or how was Matt Damon's performance better than Idris'? The Oscars should be apart of the solution, not part of the problem. It should be a necessity that the Oscar noms have better representation. This has gone on for too long. Glad they plan on fixing it next year.
