Yeah he is an amazing producer. I only know 'You're dead' though. I wish more songs on that album had vocals because I have a bit of a hard time getting into instrumental music.
I've mostly been listening to older stuff this year I guess. Out of the "other" material I've given a listen to this year, these are some of my favorites.
I'll have to check out Esperanza, Massive Attack, and some of what Tom, HereInMyHead and Wicked posted. Too much to listen to, so little time unfortunately.

Gonna check all these out this weekend, thanks!
Get into Vybz Kartel, the king of Dancehall.
I'll look into him. I only have a couple songs from compilations, that I've downloaded over the years.

I think You're Dead might have finally overtaken Cosmogramma as my favorite FlyLo album tbh.
I would definitely recommend getting into the rest of his albums though! I agree that he's hard to get into at first though; the lack of vocals makes it more difficult to get into instrumental stuff. His music is pretty great when it sinks in.
I really got into him through this track:
I'm a pretty big Radiohead stan, so I was pretty obsessed with it for awhile.
Before today, I had never listened to a Weezer album. I just finished listening to their debut, and I think it's a fantastic record. All killer, no filler.
"Surf Wax America" is my favorite song on the album.

This song is great with Thom's vocals sounds like it could be on The king of limbs like.

I haven't heard any of these, I'll give them a listen.

This is more of an uptempo song. I came across this song during a culture festival in my uni and I was kind of slayed by this song - it has cultural sound infused with modern beats. I think the song is from South East Asia.
@ 3:10 sounds very ghostly and eerie, and I absolutely love it. And the intro gives me life!
She's Malaysian. It's good

This is an electronicpop band from Indonesia. They're really inspired by bjork.
the name of the band is HOMOGENIC
listen to the instrumentation, you can hear Debut/Post in this song
You all should check out Treblezine, it's like what Pitchfork should be. It's a lot more feature heavy though! Articles about 10 essential albums in *insert genre*, discusses some artists discographies in depth & more: http://www.treblezine.com/category/feature/
That Death Grips video. I watched for an embarrassingly long amount of time before I realized the guys in the video weren't going to actually talk I liked what I heard though

I need to get into more stuff from The National.

I should've heard about them earlier.
Reading through their country article right now. I'm going to have to check Jamey Johnson. He sounds interesting and I like most of the other artists (Sturgill, Ashley, Chris, Kacey, Loretta, and Johnny).
I will never see what other people see in Miranda Lambert though, all her albums are universally acclaimed on Metacritic (with an average Metacritic score higher than Kanye West and Spoon) and she sweeps country awards; yet her music just comes across as incredibly bland to me.
