I'm currently reading this book, its alright so far, the author describes everything with such detail and there's a lot of history in the book, like real life historical ****. Also, you can tell the author is like a Gwyneth Paltrow snooty type irl, with all the rowing and yoga and herbal tea the main character does/drinks.
Books I bought and that are waiting to be read are:
The Book Thief
A Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire, book 1)
The Maze Runner
Gone Girl
Stephen King's IT
Insurgent
I don't have a huge list anymore but i'm trying to work my way through everything Mikhail Bulgakov has written. His work The Master And Margarita is the greatest book ever written I also seriously stan for all the works of Bret Easton Ellis (American Psycho, Rules of Attraction etc)

OHEMGEE, just bought this on Tuesday night. So far I really love it.
Part of the reasons why she sounds a bit pretentious in her writing is coz she is actually an academic writer. Her day job is that of a professor at a university in Cali. Her non-fiction stuff is what led me to buy this.
At the top of my reading list (3 non-fiction and 3 fiction):
- African Slavery in Latin America and the Caribbean by H. Klein & B. Wilson
- Slavery, Freedom, and Abolition in the Atlantic World by Chris Schmidt-Nowara
- A CulturalHistory of the Atlantic World by John Thornton
- The Valley of Amazement by Amy Tan
- The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt
- Kindred by Octavia Butler
Finished reading Catch 22 last week, takes a lot of concentration but it's a great read, very funny. I plan to start reading more often, here's my reading list:

Battle Royale
ASOIAF 4 & 5 (though I'll probably take a break after ASOS and come back to these later)
No clue which of these I'm gonna tackle next though or when that'll be How about you?
