I think 2NE1 will be moderately successful in the US because they aren't trying too hard to push K-pop.
They're incredibly versatile, and their image/style is appealing to multiple audiences.
What really comes down to it is their promotion.
CL is the beyonce of the group and the only one that matter. The rest will flop without her, and DARA is just there just so they can call themselves a 4 member girl band. the contribute nothing to Tha group and we don't care about her invisible present.
Agreed, Dara is useless.
But Minzy and CL carry the group. Bom is a cute addition.
