How come Dami Im only needed Alive, Super Love and Gladiator to make enough waves to get her album out?

Yeah it's kind of confusing. Sammi is basically the only X Factor alumni that hasn't gotten an album. I think Sony feel like she has the most international appeal (?) so they don't want to bring out an album and it not SMASH. Let's be honest Heart Beats wasn't exactly a mega success.

2013 was the year she needed to release but due to her mother's passing it just couldn't happen. Then after that the hype was all gone and they had to rely on getting a hit and it just hasn't happened for her.

The eerie part is Samantha mentioned the possibility of the fear of getting dropped again in one of her 2012 or 2013 interviews

And yes the album was meant to come out Late 2013 after Firestarter/Soldier but was delayed because she had to film the role in the INYX series which aired here to critical acclaim. It was then meant to be released again 2014 but was delayed due to her mothers passing.
Now Sony are obviously planning to launch her WW

The others are more successful by default of releasing albums- Taylor and Dami. If she released one she would definitely be second.

Firestarter, Soldier and Up won't be on the new album. Sweet Talk is in fact the lead single for the new album. This was confirmed by Sammi herself. It's basically a fresh start, which means we'll be hearing more new songs on the album.
