Only Vampire Weekend track I use from the new album; sounds like it could have been an amazing Contra lead single. Overall, the new album was a bit neither here nor there.
Am I cheating by using another 2012 track? Yes. But I only re-discovered Cash Cash in about July this year after they seemed to disappear off the radar entirely with the aftermath of Party in Your Bedroom. Seems they've gone generic euro gay club pop (even more so than before). Couldn't be more thrilled.

The follow-up to What Separates Me From You has been anything but seamless in its conception. Theyh just seemed to fly into oblivion after being everyone's favourite thing on the scene for years. They came back heavier...and more [Britney Jean] "personal" [/Britney Jean].
This was the stand-out on an album of stand-outs. Best album of the heavier end of the spectrum, for me.
Cruelly-overlooked teen-pop banger. Truly better than anything seen on a Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez or Ariana Grande album this year. The chorus is kinda atmospheric and I don't even care that I'm a 6"4 man bopping to this what....13 year old? She's the next Disney-esque phenomenon, I'm sure of it.

It's barely scraped 60,000 views on Youtube in 11 months and I have absolutely no clue why. This is super huge massive. She's 2013's answer to La Roux.
I hated them. I hated everything they were, I thought everything was average, mediocre, bland. Their main crime? They weren't Girls Aloud, and they weren't the Sugababes. They weren't fit to replace the legacy of the former parties.
Well, they kinda proved me wrong with Salute. It's a great album. It's something that's in their own line, something that isn't Syco doing what Syco oft tries to do- emulate what already exists out there.
The whole album is a throwback piece of diamond. I warmed to this track instantaneously and haven't switched since. It's just massive. It's everything Beyoncé did with 4's standout- End of Time- and more.
Cascada were my everything for years. I loved their sh*t eurodance covers of already sh*t songs.
I loved the tacky videos, the tacky production. Natalie's tacky everything.
I even loved whatever they were trying to serve with Rhythm of the Night (ft. random German rapper) last year.

But this....this was the hard-hitting grime slam-dunk I wanted. Only thing on the album worth listening to; Emeli Sandé contributions notwithstanding.
