No and no.
Yes, Miss World is perceived as more of the classier pageant, but it's also seen as the more boring one, but that's not why Miss World receives more contestants. It is because the price to buy the Miss Universe franchise for each country is a lot more expensive than the other beauty pageants. Miss Universe is still the Super Bowl of beauty pageants. Then it would be Miss World, then finally Miss Earth and Miss International rounding out the "Big 4 Pageants."
