Ella fitzgard, billie holiday (< Inducted in the rock n roll hall of fame but not on vh1 )

Ella
I could replace Alicia Keys with Nina Simone, I love Alicia to death but Nina was a much better pianist and writer, and we have to thank her because she was one of the many people that fought for the black people rights with her art, Nina and Janet should be on the list just because of that, among other things.

Is Sade that good? I'll have to give them a go.
Pretty amazing for Beyonce to rank that high with her career still far from over. The media loves her.

Beyonce is a great artist but give her some more years to prove herself even more. She has the potential to be an all-time greatest I believe. But it's too much, right now, to call her greater than or place her higher than the ones who have paved the road for her.

I'm the only one yet VH1 and Rolling Stone along with the millions of people who purchase the magazines and the critics, blogs, newspapers, and television programs that feature these lists feel the same and accept what you don't want to.

Once again you're missing the point and mixing up your words, an artist must have some sort of commercial success and sales to be apart of a list like this among other things. The word you're looking for is "legend" which is what Ella and Billie are.

What's your reasoning behind this?

Not entirely true. The Velvet Underground always places in the top 30 in these lists. But...

I mean as far as women who they tend to shade anyway, out of 100 artists there are only 10 women. As Ace Reject will tell you these lists are made by men who live for the Rock Era and they respect rock music more than anything, notice how Radiohead is really high on the list as well as other classic rock bands from a long time ago. Alternative music and Rock music will always come ahead of Pop and R&B to them, I told you guys not to expect people like Celine or Britney but everyone thought it was the stan in me talking. All of the women have had some sort of commercial success even Janis who is probably the least commercial on the list, but she also happens to be a female rock legend which is why she was to be expected just like Tina Turner.
Ella, Billie, Lena are not the type of singers you would find on a list like this.

True, the ramones too.
Although what satellites said sure explain why someone like JT and Alicia Keys are on the list! Still I don't see the logical connection

Alicia Keys jumped in at #100 on the full list and she was the last female, im sure they thought long and hard before putting her there. But you have to remember the woman has 12 Grammy Awards and a lot of respect in the industry, she writes her own music and she can play an instrument. She is trained in classical music as well as a lot of other types and she is like the definition of a modern R&B singer so im honestly not shocked she slipped in.

Celine Dion is not an acclaimed act; neither is Mariah Carey really, but I would rank her above Dion. The acclaimedmusic.net site gives you a god idea of an act's acclaim or lack thereof.
if you're listing Sade, you may as well include Fleetwood Mac, for Stevie Nicks/Christine McVie.

I'm not disagreeing with you. I have no beef with the list. Some artists made it, a lot didn't. I'm here to congratulate the ones that did

Exactly, she was never as respected as Whitney or Mariah on an overall scale. She was a great singer with great success but there was never anything that made her stand out.

That is true, Satellites- but Whitney and Mariah also haven't been big critical successes (the Grammys do not count as critical success, mind you). But, of the three, Whitney would be the one I'd rank first- she undoubtedly inspired Carey's early years, s well as any up-and-coming female R&B/pop act.
For an idea of acclaim and lack thereof, check out acclaimedmusic.net.
