I think that she could if she uses the momentum from this current album for another traditional release in the future or a surprise single release on iTunes. But of course the song would also need to be hot as well.

If she got off her high horse and made a song with another pop girl she could get a real hit. Both of her biggest hits WW were features (Beautiful Liar and Telephone)

How am I justifying her flops? Her tour success has nothing to with her single stats. Justifying flops is when your fave takes a year to cross the million mark (after massive hits) and saying something like "well, she'll get there eventually...at least she's consistent". Or when your fave can't sell out an arena in six months in her home market and you say something like "well, her fans are last minuet ticket buyers".

Justifying a flop is trying to present an artist as the Queen of Pop, yet having every excuse in the world as to why they have no impact outside of iTunes and Instagram.

She performed XO at the Brits. Yes its the best promotion, but it doesn't have consistency.

Yeah but that song leaked way ahead of schedule, then the wrong mix was played during the premiere, and in general RTW was a mess of a song. I haven't found any of her material particularly catchy since SL though.
