Technically they are selling their bodies for sex, even if its not to you.
Even though **** stars technically do act, the plot usually consists of very shallow scenarios involving teachers, friend's moms, and what have you. Does that really count?

And the acting is only used for fantasy/sexual arousal purposes. No real 'acting' takes place, at least not in my eyes.
Lets see all the things that ****stars and prostitutes have in common:
They are paid to have sex
They are not licensed
Both industries don't pay for STD testings
Condom use is not mandatory
Performers have no formal training
No drug testing
No regulation
Both industries are notorious for exploiting young survivors of childhood abuse
Dehumanizes women.
How is it different? Hollywood actresses do sex scenes which sometimes depicts graphic sex. They get naked for cameras. They fake relationships with other people for money.
Most actors/actresses will be fully naked during sex scenes ... really the only difference is penetration.
No. they arent much different from actors/singers who have sex scenes .. the only difference is **** is more honest in terms of graphic sex
the only difference between Jenna Jameson and Angelina Jolie is Angelina cant show her vagina on screen ... other than that they both get naked and perform for cameras
I'm pretty sure Angelina doesn't let her co-star dip it low. Weird comparison.
Is it illegal to have sex with a prostitute and then refuse to pay her? Is that stealing?
It depends on what the specific laws are in that country/state.
Quote:
Prostitution law varies widely from country to country, and between jurisdictions within a country. Prostitution is legal in some parts of the world and regarded as a profession, while in other parts it is a crime punishable by death.[1] In some jurisdictions prostitution is illegal. In other places prostitution itself (exchanging sex for money) is legal, but surrounding activities (such as soliciting in a public place, operating a brothel, and pimping) are illegal. In other jurisdictions prostitution is legal and regulated. In Western criminology, the research and analysis of prostitution usually falls within public order issues.
Most sex scenes nowadays require full nudity. Even if it is partial nudity they are still stimulating sex with someone for money.
Not every movie contains sex scenes. Your comparison is off Sis. Don't forget that in a movie the sex is an accessory to the storyline while in a **** the storyline is an accessory to the sex.
but does the fact that they are having sex with their equals make a difference? I mean, its not one paying the other for sex. Both are being paid by a third party to have sex in front of a camera.
Then again, many johns pay 2 or more prostitutes to put on a private show for them with each other.
