I like both albums. I don't know why everyone hated Scarlett's. I never bought it, but I listened to all the songs, and I liked it. And HSM3, I liked some of the songs, but it is their worst soundtrack.
This year was marked with the release of two greatest hits, and here's my analysis on both of them:
Best of the Best
Christina Aguilera - Keeps Gettin' Better: A Decade Of Hits
When you're a successful artist and have various singles that became actual hits you can release a greatest hits, and Christina it someone who could have done it and did it. An also she recorded 2 new songs and re-recorded two old songs, KGB and Dynamite are great and Genie 2.0 is amazing for me, however she murdered Beautiful. Overall she compiled great single choices and put them together for a great album.
Worst of the Worst
Hilary Duff - Best Of Hilary Duff
Some people otherwise don't have that many singles to release a greatest hits, and even those singles never became hits actually, with a few exceptions. That's what happened to Hilary Duff, she gathered together her singles that aren't that good, saving only Fly, With Love and Stranger, and made a greatest hits with two new and poor songs. An if you consider that she released another greatest hits a couple of years ago this one sounds even more ridiculous.
Well, that sums up the Greatest Hits released this year that I know. Check later for the albums re-released this year, or released in other countries with different songs.
