I don't think it's as bad as y'all are making out...
I mean I think all the other scenes will be colour (seen as her costume and the zebra ARE black and white but the other pics we saw had colourful costumes) and hopefully there'll be dancing elsewhere, I mean this is the clip of the bit where it changes up and they hopefully just changed up the video to reflect that

I can't stop laughing... not at Rihanna but at the posters who are worried that the 18 SECOND (!!!) clip is representative of the entire video. There is no way this video will be in only black and white as that wouldn't be very exciting and wouldn't fit with the song. This clip shows the song 2:23 seconds in at a point where there is a little breakdown right before another chorus, which means since it's not the very beginning of the video there's no need to be flashy as we should already be engaged from the start, and since it's not a chorus again yet it can stand to be slow.
If you would give the video a chance rather than judge it based off an 18 second clip, maybe many of you would be able to sleep better at night. Stop going into things expecting to be disappointed... ever hear of a self-fulfilling prophecy? If you keep setting your standards so high or expecting things to disappoint you, they will. You might also take the time to consider how much work goes into putting together a music video whether it's high or low budget. Calm down for a bit, breathe, and go do something else to pass the time until the full video comes out (like read a book...). Most of all, be optimistic. All this pessimism is making my weave itch!!!!

i like how Rude Boy was written on the wall. I dont think that the whole video would be black and white cause they said that the video would be colorful. But if it will be which I doubt then its because they are making it on as part of the Rated R era.

I agree with you... but the preview is supposed to get you all hyped up about the video, and this one doesn't really do that. :-/

Her only video I can't stand and is her worst IMO is "Rehab". 
Maybe even her best ballad, but the video is so to me.

I will agree on that one. it was a waste of money and time. And everyone knows that Breaking Dishes should have been released instead. But other than that, Rihanna has released amazing videos.

Rihanna and Gaga are the queens of the music videos. I mean, "SOS" video was AMAZING! Not even gonna lie. Loved that video. And every video after that she stepped it up. Im sure she will make "Rude Boy" an awesome video. Wish Anthony Mandler was directing though. I MISS HIM!

They should have released "Rehab" instead of "Hate That I Love You" and saved "Breakin' Dishes" for the last single, it was a sure hit. And the release of "If I Never See Your Face Again" should have gotten scrapped too.

I personally loved "Hate That I love You", but you are right. But hey, she still pulled in a few #1 hits and a few top 10 tracks. So Kudos Rihanna.
I was just thinking that she's releasing all her singles relatively close in time lately. I think they are trying to rush this album so she can put out another album in like beginning of 2011 or something. Which is PERFECTLY fine with me. Never get tired of Rihanna music.
