Beyonce had been a massive star since Destiny's Child, we knew that. She also had two incredibly successful albums and If I Were A Boy did really well as a lead. However, Single Ladies is
the Beyonce song. It's the one song nobody really has that energy Bey has to cover it well. The music video is a sensation, everyone knows about it. It's one of the biggest dance sensations of the last 17,000,000 years. Oh, and it won Song of the Year, not to mention it's a song that would've smashed any time it was released, it could've in 2008, 2011 or 2001.
It's easily one of Bey's most iconic songs, if not the most iconic.
Bad Romance is the song that really split Gaga from the current pop girl to a music artist that really brings something to the table, since not only is it seen as her best single by many, but it lead her The Fame Monster era which also helped her into super-stardom, and solidified her spot as one of the biggest artists in the world. Bad Romance didn't hit #1 in America, sure, but sales were not affected at all. While Bey had a huge impact in terms of a dance craze and an iconic music video, Bad Romance is still the big package of a huge epic song that will probably be known as one of the great songs of the past decade, is a big factor in pop stars' quirkiness in terms of clothing and style, an iconic music video, everything under the sun.
So as much of an iconic song SL is, Bad Romance takes the cake for me.
