I got a question for you'll
who's better?
Namie Amuro or Lee Hyori
lol, this isn't even a question ... Namie hands down.
Hyori has been biting Namie's style for years now. Not to mention Namie is a better vocalist, dancer and all around performer. I still love me some Lee Hyori though<333.
Speaking of Namie a new double a-side single was recently announced: "Break It / Get Myself Back" set for a July 28th release, can't wait
& there's too much K-pop being posted in this thread
Here are 2 of my favorite J-pop singles at the moment:
The new BENI album, Lovebox, is out. I was never a big fan of her in the past, but this album is really good.
Yes, 'Lovebox' is amazing!
One of my favorite albums of the year so far. She needs to do more bangas like "MOVE" & "break the rules"

Oh & I know I was just complaining about too much K-pop in this thread lol but there's this new group SISTAR and I'm really feelin' thier debut single:
Has anyone heard of Yuya's album "I Am Me"... I have got to say that album is pure perfection the whole arrangement of the album is amazing! The interludes give the album that feel and links the songs together brilliantly!
Although they are not many 'new' tracks, it is still worth buying because the new songs are amazing. So many up-tempo songs, urban influenced... one track is actually rock influenced... and the amazing thing is that Yuya is so versatile and can do ballads, dance songs, rap! The album is amazing.
Although they're out of this world tracks, we're kinda talking about J/K-Pop here.
Anyway new contribution: DBSK/TVXQ/THSK. Their Japanese-released singles are way better than those in Korea, IMS. One of the best boybands I've heard; can do dance tracks and ballads like no other.
Why doesn't Crystal Kay come over to the U.S.? She could finally be Japan's breakthrough artist. Yes, I know that she's not actually Japanese (half-black/half-Korean), but she's always lived there and released Japanese music.

I believe she said she does eventually want to branch out to the West.
She has the best shot of making it of all the current j-pop female artists IMO.
But anyways ... here's a song I'm really feelin' by a new artist who goes by the name Manami. She was actually discovered by Pharrell. Her debut single "Yellow Stop" comes out this Wednesday:
